Don't Miss The Details

Three encounters with mother nature reminded me how God remains by our side.  He provides such wonderful details to my every day.  Simply put, He is Awesome!!!

My husband and I have ran away on a mini-vacation.  We might not return :)  On our travels to Indianapolis yesterday, we hit some rough storm pockets.  One included hail.  Each about fifteen minutes long, but scary nonetheless.  At one point, hail crashed on our windshield, ran poured down, lightning struck and thunder cracked.  First reminder - Over to the left of us, the sun shone brightly.

Our first reaction was to pull over and try and wait it out, avoiding the hardship of driving through.  I urged my husband to drive on so as to not sit and continually be hit by the hail.  He placed his hazards on, drove slowly and endured the storm.  We came out with a stronger understanding how to maneuver a car in a rough storm.  Second reminder - This too shall pass.

Upon arrival to Indy, we met with some great friends and went to dinner.  The rain ceased, so we sit outside and enjoyed the sun.  After eating, we noticed to the right of us, the clouds were darkening.  We hurried to our vehicle in perfect timing to avoid the pound from rain.  The rain left as quick as it came and when pulling into our friends subdivision we noticed a beautiful rainbow.  Third reminder - Beauty forming right in front of us.

"For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had," (Romans 15:4-5)

"being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light."
(Colossians 1:11-12)

So, lesson one - though life may throw some ugly storms our way, God's love shines brightly next to us.  May we see this and cling to Him.  His Truths provide the strength to endure and encourage us to have hope for our future.  Focus on Him.

Lesson two - avoiding the storms in life, allowing the storms to overtake your life or turning around and running only prevents growth.  The storms qualify us to better work for Him.  We may share with others the comfort and lessons learned.  God will see you through.

Lesson three - God will not disappoint in any circumstance.  He will never let you go in life.  We need only to accept His Love through it all.  God never wastes a hurt.  Beauty may come from our ashes.

See every detail God places in your day.  Though the storms may be rough, God still remains.  Rough seasons in life produce perseverance, then character, which leads to hope (see Romans 5:3-5).  Hope in Him!

God thank you for this day.  Thank You for the constant reminder of Your Love for me.  You are such an awesome God who created all things for beauty.  May I keep my eyes open to all of You.  I love You.

Keep praying harder than the devil may work.
