Rules of the Game

A team consists of a number of persons forming ONE side in a game or contest.  As two people come together in marriage, the two become ONE.  Men live logically, women live emotionally; bringing those characteristics together creates ONE whole human being.  God knew exactly what He was doing when creating man and woman.  He intended marriage to bring true friendship, intimacy, love, care and strength.  He planned for procreation between man and woman.

As the family grows, a team comes to existence.  The game, LIFE, will be one of the hardest contests you will face.  The enemy is sneaky and can blindside one of the members, if the focus should become lost.  Satan loves to destroy the closeness a team holds.  God loves to strengthen the closeness a team holds.  Let God be the coach and listen to every play He calls out.  Come together as a team and help one another.  If you see Satan cornering one of your teammates, run to the rescue.  Satan will move out of the way when two or more gather in His name and carry out His play.

"Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up." (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10)

"Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2)

"for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.  Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God." (1 John 5:4-5)

Avoid keeping score within the team.  Each member plays a role.  None should dominate play time.  When one is weak or fallen, another picks up the slack and does not hold it against the one.  Should you see one of your teammates struggling or falling away from the team, run to the rescue.  Go and speak Truth into their hearts.  Call out each play loudly so the rest of the team can follow what The Coach wants at that specific time in the game.

The same rules apply when coming together as a team of believers.  God is still the coach.  We still must be there for one another and speak His Truth to overcome the enemy.

Keep focused on The Coach and believe He will carry out the plans to victory.  He already won the game and knows the exactly how to get there.  Come together as a team and keep the defense away.

God, thank you for another day to carry out Your plays.  Keep speaking to me and showing me the moves I must take.  Keep my family close and focused on You.  Thank You for placing me as part of team Craig.  May I also play the role You choose as a member of team Believers.  Show me the way.  I love You.

Keep praying harder than the devil can work.
