Don't Hesitate

When others celebrate a birthday, graduation, marriage, a new career or a new baby the right thing to do is send a card, maybe a gift.  We want to express our joy for them and bring an even bigger smile to their already blessed event.  Receiving a gift/card is an overall standard for society.  Also, our presence is expected at any party resulting from the above experiences.  We praise God for the achievements and blessings.

What about when someone loses a job, a person or a home?  What if someone enters a dark time in life, consumes each day in bondage, fell away from the path God laid for their lives or faces a tough decision?  What happens when you meet another who seems lost, knows nothing about the freedom found through Jesus or holds anger towards God for events in their life?  Do you send a card?  Do you make yourself present when opportunities present themselves?  Do you pray for or with this individual?

"And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone." (1 Thessalonians 5:14)

"See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.  But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.  We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end." (Hebrews 3:12-14)

"He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him.  Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."
(1 Thessalonians 5:10-11)

When God pulls on your heart to call, meet or write another one of His children, don't hesitate.  He wants to use you to lead another to Him.  He wants to use any hurt you experience and comfort another from the same comfort you received from Him.  Remember the hand that extended grace when you were lost.  Remember the person that said "Yes" to God and came to your rescue.

God's Word is made perfect and He uses each of His words at just the perfect time.  Be the vessel He needs to teach and lead others to Him.  Approach another in love, comfort and peace.  Avoid condemning another or scolding.  Send that letter, call your friend or seek to find the ones who are lost.  Lead them to the Truth, so they may find peace.  Don't give up or count any as lost.  Sometimes it takes one seed at a time and God waits to water until the person is truly ready.

Bring a smile to another's face at all times.  Whether they are celebrating a joyous time or encountering a difficult season in life; build up all you meet.  In this way, we further the Kingdom of God.  Work for Him!  Pray before, during and after so God is right in the middle of it all and leading your every move.

God, thank you for another day.  Help me be your hands and feet.  I am here God, use me!  Open my eyes to the work I can do for You.  I love You.

Keep praying harder than the devil can work.
