No Rock like Our God

Holidays may increase the risk of falling for those who struggle with addictions.  The stress, gloomy weather, visiting family seen only once a year, available beverages at parties, food at parties, etc.  The list is endless because we all have a struggle in some area.  The way we handle these trigger situations is what determines the level of risk present for a fall.  I just want to spend time today providing some words of encouragement.  I gather quotes and information from books that bring Truth into my life.  I will share a few today that may help those reading this when triggers surround your day. . .

"When circumstances overwhelm and seem too much to bear, depend upon the Lord for strength and trust in His tender care."  ~Sper

"We must sacrifice our way to find His way!  We must sacrifice self-will to have God's will."  ~Joyce Meyer

'People say, "I feel I am between a rock and a hard place."  Those who don't know Jesus are being honest when they say this; they ARE between a hard place and a hard place.  BUT  For those who are in relationship and fellowship with the Lord, they are between The Rock (Jesus) and a hard place.'  ~Joyce Meyer

"Value the constant approval of God over the conditional approval of men."
~excerpt from Search for Significance

Remember, you are a child of God and no matter what trial, stress, trigger or season in life; He is right there to lift you up.  He loves you and His Way always works.  He will provide the strength to overcome any bondage and combat those lies Satan tries to place in your thoughts.

Seek approval from Him.  Fear the Lord and obey His commands.  When pressure in life caves in on you, use Our Rock to break through and come out stronger.  Give Him your struggle, anxiety and bondage.  Enjoy the life He provides each day.  Don't let an addiction creep back in because of outside influences and circumstances.  Those addictions only get in the way of His purpose for your life.  Hang in there, He will see you through.

  "There is no one holy like the LORD;
   there is no one besides you;
   there is no Rock like our God." (1 Samuel 2:2)

"being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience," (Colossians 1:11)

"Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ."
(Galatians 1:10)

Be a servant to Him, not this world!  Replace addiction with Him; lies with Truth.

God, thank you for another day.  Thank You for loving me through all seasons of life.  Continue to lead me in Your Ways.  I love You.

Keep praying harder than the devil can work.
Sheree Craig
