The Greatest Gift Ever!

Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.  This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” (Luke 2:11-12)

"For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
   Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." (Isaiah 9:6)

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." (John 3:16-17)

Wow!  Just reflect and place yourself in that day; the day our Lord and Savior came to Earth to dwell among men.  He entered just as you and I.  He experienced growing up just as you and I.  He faced trials of many kinds, rejection and ugly words spat His way just as you and I.  Yet, He was without sin.  He did not hide from anything His Father placed in front of Him.  He persevered, completing the task given with full confidence in His Father.

He dwelt among men because God so loved each of us living in this world.  God wanted to provide an example of how we are to live and then use His only Son to wash away all our sins.  God loved each of us so much that after sending Jesus to die for us, He sends His Holy Spirit daily to live within us.  Will you accept this gift from our Creator?

Believe in Him; remember His birth, life and death.  Do not forget the example Jesus presented for us to follow and the relationship He had with His Father.  God yearns also for a relationship with you.  He loves you so much and waits with open arms to have you in His presence.  One thing we must do to begin this relationship - accept Him into our lives.  Imagine your beloved partner kneeling on one knee requesting your hand in marriage; one of full commitment, to live every day, every moment together.  Accepting the offer requires all of you be given to one person and work together as one for the better.

Well, God wants your hand in commitment to Him.  He wants you to wake up every morning and give all of yourself to Him.  He loves you so much and asks that you work together with Him forever to further His Kingdom.  Will you accept this offer from our Creator?

Remember all the ways God showed His love.  One of the greatest gifts given - His only Son - born to us in a manger on a dark, cold night in Bethlehem.  There was neither room nor bed for our dear Savior that evening.  Giving back to God includes obedience, faith, hope, love and wholehearted devotion.  Make room in your life for our dear Savior.  Celebrate His birth, remember His death and hope for His coming!

God, thank you for another day.  Thank You for bringing Your only Son into this life to set an example and die for my sins.  I am here daily for You.  I want to give all of me back to You.  Use me and guide me through the plans for my life.  I love You.

Keep praying harder than the devil can work.
