His Wisdom not yours

A bias causes partiality or favoritism in a person and may influence a decision.  The decision or conclusion is done unfairly, with a prejudiced mind.

An opinion derives from personal views or attitudes.  It is a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty.  Decisions or conclusions made off opinions are done so unfairly, with prejudiced minds.

Satan loves to help us with our opinion and bias.  He loves to build ideas in our mind on how WE think a situation should play out.  As a decision arises in our lives, we may first run to our opinion, bias or idea on the matter.  We may go to Scripture to read and seek and answer.  But, if we take our own thoughts with us, we stand risk for Satan to use our prejudiced minds to reason out that our own ideas are the answer.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
   neither are your ways my ways,”
            declares the LORD.
 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
   so are my ways higher than your ways
   and my thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:8-9)

"Fools find no pleasure in understanding
   but delight in airing their own opinions." (Proverbs 18:2)

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart
   and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
   and he will make your paths straight.
 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
   fear the LORD and shun evil." (Proverbs 3:5-7)

We must be careful to leave all bias and opinion at the cross.  Seek counsel with an open heart, clear mind and willing spirit.  Give no foothold to the devil by fogging your mind with worldly thoughts.  Lean on God, not your understanding on a situation.  God sees the bigger picture.  We walk around with blinders on and cannot see past the moment.  Rid yourself of yourself and allow God to consume your heart, soul and mind.

He holds your life plan in His hands.  The entire picture is complete in His thoughts.  He is the way.  Do not use prejudice to reason out a situation to fit YOUR plan.  Fear the Lord and shun evil.  Rely on His wisdom to conclude where your feet may step or what words may come from your mouth.

Read the Truth for what it is, not for what you think it should be.  His word is Truth and cannot be twisted or separated from context to fit YOUR plan.  Let go and let God control.  Trust Him for He knows what He is doing!

God, thank you for another day.  Thank You for loving me unconditionally.  Thank You for counseling me with Truth.  Rid me of bias and opinion and fill me with Truth.  Clean my heart out with Your Word and wisdom.  Send your Holy Spirit to consume my day and guide my thoughts.  I give this day to You.  I love You.

Keep praying harder than the devil can work.
