No Person is Exempt

What happens when a new employee enters the workplace; a new student in class; a new member to the family; or your child receives a new teacher?  Are opinions reached before even speaking?

What thoughts roll through your mind while watching the latest news story; the politicians campaigning against one another; or the most recent scandal of a TV star?  Do you judge or criticize?

Who are we to place that judgemental comment or create an opinion of another just by visual contact?

“‘Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly.' (Leviticus 19:15)

"Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.  There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?"
(James 4:11-12)

Avoid judging others.  Erase criticism, gossip or favoritism.  Extend a hand of grace, speak and display a caring heart.  A person new to the area or group wants nothing more than a nice smile and warm welcome.  Their anxieties are already high, so why increase them by ignoring or mentally judging them by outward appearance.  God looks at the hearts; strive to have His eyes.

Yes, others will do wrongful things.  We see and hear it in the news everyday.  Be careful not to fall in the trap of placing harsh opinions on another.  We know nothing of their thoughts or hearts.  The best thing we can do for them is pray.  Pray for healing, peace and repentance.  Our God forgives every sin without condemnation.  So, we must follow His teaching and forgive.  Strive to have His heart.

God's forgiveness and acceptance applies to you as well.  You are not exempt!  He loves you unconditionally.  Run to Him, repent of any sins, accept Him into your life and walk closely with Him.  There is nothing you have done that will make Him reject, criticize or condemn you.

Salvation comes through this acceptance of God.  Discover God's character through His Word.  Apply His teaching to your life.  You will feel a peace which passes all understanding.

God, thank you for another day.  Thank You for bringing different people in my every day so I may broaden my circle of friends.  Guide me to accept, love and cherish each new person.  Remind me each day of the importance to extend hands of grace to one another.  Feed me with Truth so I may stay focused on You.  Thank You for providing Instructions on how to live in this temporary home.  I strive to complete my work here and look forward to meeting You in my Eternal Home!  I love You.

Keep praying harder than the devil can work.
